Join us as author Sue Kelly Ballard examines effective strategies to drop characters into a world where conflicts, actions, and resolutions are a satisfying integrated whole. Ballard will explain the components necessary for a great novel and the structured planning required in bringing it all together.

Sue Kelly Ballard, author of My Blessed, Wretched Life: Rebecca Boone’s Story, was born in Kentucky but raised as an army brat in several states and overseas. Her career has been divided between the corporate world in Kentucky, Colorado, and Indiana, and later, as a community college professor of chemistry. She recently retired as a professor emerita.
Ballard is a member of the Filson Historical Society, the DAR, the Historical Novel Society, the Board of Directors of the Boone Society and co-editor for the Society’s Compass newsletter. She currently resides in Elizabethtown, Ky., with her husband, Jimmie. Her creative side has been nurtured by her love of travel, history, literature, and writing.
